'Send New User Email' checkbox

    I’m not a programmer so my question is very straight forward. I have 2 sites. One running version 4.5 and an older version running 4.3.5. On the newer version when you add a new user there is a check box option to send an email or not which isn’t there on the older version. Does anyone know what version of wordpress introduced the check box option please or is it a pluggin that i can install onto the older version? Many thanks

    If it was me, I’d just update the old site to the newest version so that you get the functionality you are looking for?
    It’s also safer to keep your WordPress version updated – hopefully keeps the hackers away! 🙂

    Thanks. I think i may have to do that as i have tied a couple of plugins that don’t seem to work. I’m always a bit weary of upgrading in case it all goes belly up as my usual guy is on vacation but i need this function working asap….here goes – fingers crossed!
