I’m using a third-party plugin so visitors on the front-end can submit a listing with a form. These listings are saved as a custom post type with the status Pending by default.

Now I tried to create a workflow with PP Planner so that the visitor (author of the post) gets a notification email whenever they submit a listing. But it’s not working, I guess since there is no previous status to set in the workflow editor?

I tried setting the previous status to New (I don’t know what that means exactly) and also tried leaving it empty. But neither option sends the email. There is simply no other status assigned before the Pending one.

I tested with assigning others statussen and changing the workflow temporarily which then works fine, so I know the set up of the notifications in general is okay.

Do you have any idea how I can get this to work? Thank you!

    Hi @ldwd

    Thanks for using our plugin.

We haven’t tested our notification with a post that coming from front-end submission.

It might not be working, but could you please try set the previous status as below:

I tested this, and the notification is sent when the post is moved to pending review.

However please note that I do this on regular post creation and not from the front-end submission.

    Thanks,
