Which email mailer are you using? Some mailers don’t allow the sender to be changed and will require it to be the same as what your mailer account is set to.

Thanks for the response. Google will only allow you to send from email addresses that your account is allowed to send from. Check out our guide on sending emails from a Gmail Alias:
