I’m successfully using this plugin to change the sending address to my webiste URL on my wordpress/buddypress site. Plugin: CB Change Mail Sender

We use Easy SMTP @ https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/ and it works great with this plugin and never had that problem.
