Hello. Sending email notifications to users with the author role does not work for me. They publish a post, cron is triggered by time, but the notification to the author of the post does not come at the end of the action. It comes only to the administrator. What could be the problem?

    Hi @user020905

Please share more details on this and the debugging you’ve done:

    – Is this the “Who to notify” setting?
    – Does the same thing happen for all post types?
    – Is it just the Author role that causes problems? How about Editor and others?
    – Have you tried a mail log to see if the email leaves your site?

I didn’t specify anything in the “Whom to notify” field. I have enabled “Enable Email Notification” and “Enable Blog Admins”. Emails are sent only to the site administrator. And I need to come to the author of the post. I tried with the role of author and editor, no emails are coming. If you only assign the Administrator role to the user, then a letter comes to the user and the site administrator. That is, a registered user with the role of “Author” posted a post and after the expiration date he received a letter to the site administrator. But now this does not happen, the letter comes only to the site administrator.

    Hi @user020905

Sorry, we asked some questions above. Please answer to help us debug this:

    Hello. I answer your questions.
1- I used your plugin only in the posts of the “Posts” of the wordpress itself.
2 – Notifications are sent only to users with the role of the author. A user with other roles does not receive notifications.
3- There is nothing in the mail log except sending to users with the administrator role.

@user020905 Can you test with emails that aren’t registered in WordPress?

The “Who to notify” box shouldn’t be impacted by user role, or whether the email is even registered in WordPress.

I’ve tested and both registered and non-registered emails do work equally.

Hello. Emails are sent only to the user with the administrator role. If you change the role of the user to another “Editor” or “Author” emails do not arrive.

Check for yourself. Register a user with the “Author” role and post an entry from this user. After the expiration of the post, he will not receive a message.

    Hi @user020905

I ran a couple of tests and had no problem sending emails to Authors and Editors.

There seems to be some confusion here. This plugin only offers two email choices: 1) “Include Blog Administrators”
    2) “Who to notify” is any other email address. It doesn’t make any distinction by user role

Hello. I need it to be like this: the user registered, published a post and after the end of the post period, he received a message to the Email that he specified during registration. Tell me is it possible to do this?

Sorry, we don’t have that feature yet, but I’ve added it to our to-do list.
