    Hello!

    I am trying to help the users of the webpage hateigskirkja.is to get into their account after having forgotten their passwords but it can´t and the message is: “Your site may not be correctly configured to send emails”.
    How can I fix this?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    When you send a test email from WP Mail SMTP > Tools area, you should be able to see the full error. Here’s a screenshot of the option to get a full error log. This will provide you with an idea of what might be going on.

    Then, get in touch with your email support/hosting provider with the full error log, and they should be able to assist you further.

    Hello! I have a bigger problem now, I can not log in to the dashboard at all.
    There has been a critical error on this website is the message I get. What can I do? Greetings, Guðný

    Hi @gudnyei,

    Please enable the WordPress debug log by following this guide.

    Then, when you try logging into your WordPress backend, it will create a debug log. You should be able to locate the debug.log file under the “/wp-content/” folder.

    This should help you to troubleshoot the issue. You may also report it to the hosting support, and they should be able to recover your site.
