I’ve set up the Google email API to accept and send out messages delivered by the Email Subscribers plugin. However, test emails I’ve sent to myself have my Google address as the sender. The email I receive does not contain any of the information I provided on the plugin Settings>General page regarding Sender Name and Sender Email.

In Settings>Email Sending, I have “Disable WordPress Cron (Enable this option if you do not want Email Subscribers to use WP Cron to send emails) turned off.

Is the plugin capable of working with Google so that emails received by my subscribers carry the sender information provided in Settings>General?

    Hello there,

    Thanks for contacting us.

By default, the Email Subscribers plugin sends email using WordPress built-in email functionality. In this, it is possible that some other plugins may override Sender Name and Sender Email.

Therefore can you please let us know if you are using any SMTP plugin to configure email sending on your site? If yes, then can you please check if Sender Name and Email in the received email are coming from the plugin settings or not?

Also, some SMTP plugins like WP Mail SMTP give option to whether to override Sender details or not(Reference here). You can disable that option if you are using any SMTP plugin and this option is present.

Hope this helps you. Let us know what comes out or if you have any further queries.

    Thank you.
