@giacomolaw , yes, code adapted for SEO always.
For automatical insertion a table of contents in a posts, select option “Auto Insert Table of Contents” in the plugin settings (tab “Auto Insert”).

Hello, could you please share with us how exactly the table is optimized for SEO? Can’t see anything special in the code. It is not even a list. Maybe we can learn something new 😉

Google add internal anchor links to snippet. For example, search “trans fat” and show wikipedia snippet.
In LuckyWP Table of Contents links are implemented in such a way that they are understood by Google.
