This is basically the same issue as in this ticket but starting a new one as the issue didn’t seem to be understood from the description. https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/yoast-seo-427/

When editing a page and seeing the Yost SEO box at the bottom the “SEO Analysis” is collapsed by default and needs to be expanded to see the feedback.

After expanding there is an error show which seems longer than can be displayed with the end of it being:

    e(...).getFocusAIFixesButtonId is not a function

As shown is this screen grab.

This is with the free version 27.1.1. Something seems to be broken. Refreshing the page as suggested does nothing but reset the options and every attempt to expand the SEO Analysis section causes this error.

    Hi @esd3104,

Thanks for opening the support thread,

blank meta box issue with errors occurs due to a JavaScript conflict. We’d like you to perform a conflict check to help us determine the next steps while saving you time. First, from the error it seems like some plugin for the AI feature is conflicting with Yoast SEO AI due to some missing ID, so can you try to disable the AI feature by navigating to Yoast SEO > Settings > Site features. Look for the AI features block and switch the toggle next to Enable feature to turn it off.

If the issue persists, we often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Five.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

Thanks. I found a work around using the Yoast Icon/Function in the top menubar. Subsequently the error seems to have fixed itself. Seems likely the offending plugin must have had an update, potentially the “BetterDocs” plugin I use which updated itself recently.

Anyway, seems to be resolved now, for me anyway.
