If the issue persists, we suggest doing a conflict check as it might be caused by a plugin or theme conflict.
I’ve been having the same issue since about version 8.0. I tried the conflict check (using the plugin method) and the steps indicate it’s an issue with Yoast in my case. Enabled Yoast with no other plugins and default theme and it still doesn’t work. I did notice my PHP version was slightly behind (7.1.14); unsure if that’s a potential cause. Also seeing a lot of errors in the JS console that seem to relate to Yoast.
Any chance of a fix coming for this? I really don’t think this is a plugin or theme conflict and many others seem to be experiencing it.
I had this issue on Pro version, I had a conflict between another plugin.
Try disabling all plugins except Yoast, then re-enable plugins one at a time and continually check the issue.
Best to do it with several windows opens for easy refresh.
I had to revert to free plugin to work.
Hope that helps identify the conflict plugin.
@dbruyteryahoocom @jasonb4u2 If you have already performed a conflict check and the issue is still occurring with no other plugin active and a default theme, we expect this to be a bug. We’re actively using the bug tracking on our GitHub repository so your best next step would be to create a new issue for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You will need an account to create a new issue. If this is your first bug report, please check out: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-write-a-good-bug-report/.
No further response, setting this to resolved. Please perform the conflict check to identify the cause accordingly.
