    Hi,

Changing permissions is beyond the scope of this plugin.

Please elaborate on what’s on your mind regarding the different email address. The more details the better.

    Cheers,
    Vinny

Hi Vinny, thanks for your super-fast answer.

Essentially the person who will be moderating the forums will not be the general admin of the site. I would like new posts/threads to be notified to him instead of to the general admin.

Additionally I would like to prevent the forum moderator to being able to do anything else on the site other than create/delete forums, topics, etc (bbpress stuff). I don´t want the forum moderator to be able to edit pages/posts/themes/menus, etc. I understand this is beyond the scope on this plugin but if you could hint me in the right direction as to how do this I would appreciate it indeed.

    Thanks again.

For your capabilities needs, have a look at http://codex.bbpress.org/bbpress-user-roles-and-capabilities/. You can create a new role using a plugin such as http://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/user-role-editor/ and assign only the capabilities that you want your moderator to have.

Regarding the email address override, I’ll study adding it when I have some time.

    Cheers,
    Vinny

Sounds great, thanks again. I´m fairly new to bbpress and http://codex.bbpress.org/bbpress-user-roles-and-capabilities/ is just the thing I was after.

    Cheers,
    Alvaro.

    Hi mrfoxtalbot,

I started looking into your request to handle moderation notifications but I can’t find how to turn on moderation in the first place. Are you using a separate plugin like http://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/bbpressmoderation/ ?

    Hi Vinny,

No, in fact I didn´t realize you there was no moderation for bbpress “out of the box” but I will look into that plugin you mention, sounds just like the thing I need.

Thanks a lot again for your help.

    Alvaro.
