    Hi,

According to a LinkedIn post, it is highly beneficial to separate languages into different sections of the sitemap. For now, the sitemap on my site is all mixed up.

I don’t think there is currently a way to do this in RankMath when used with TranslatePress as this previous topic shows.

Though the current handling may be acceptable, it may still be better for SEO to separate languages into the sitemap.

Is it something that you may add as a new feature in RankMath?

    Thanks

PS: I’d rather not count on TranslatePress support/dev to do this, as they proved to me that they already do not handle even more important features efficiently over the last years.

    Hello @robin-labadie,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

At the moment, we do not have plans to introduce a feature that allows generating separate sitemaps for each language. However, we have forwarded your suggestion to our development team as a feature request. If it’s implemented in the future, we’ll be sure to notify you.

Also, it’s important to note that there is no significant SEO benefit to having separate sitemaps for each language. Google can discover and index multilingual content effectively from a single sitemap, as long as the URLs are accessible, meet indexing criteria and have the proper HTML hreflang to indicate the language varitations of the page.

You can see that this method is perfectly acceptable by Google: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/specialty/international/localized-versions

Please feel free to reach out if you need any further assistance.
