Separating from Home Page Slideshow

Hi. Thanks for a great plug-in. Forgive me if this is a stupid question but I am a complete novice. I am using the Peekaboo theme which has a slideshow built in to the home page. Any slides added show up here. When I add slides to form part of a slideshow that I want to use on a different page they too show up on the home page. So if I have 5 slideshows containing 10 slides each, I end up with the same 50 slides showing up on my home page. Ideally, I would have between 6 and 8 slides on the homepage, and then as other pages are visited, more slides are visible in their own slideshow. Does this make sense? Can anyone help? Many thanks.
