Serious performance issues
-
Hi,
I’ve been playing around with the lite version of your calendar plugin on a test site, evaluating it to see if it would be worth getting the pro version for a client of mine.
After installing the plugin it added some example events so that there was something to display while testing the plugin’s shortcodes, which was fine, and all seemed to be working okay.
I thought I’d test to see what happened when no events are available (I set all of the example events to draft), a perfectly valid state if events have gone past or no new events have been added for example, and the shortcodes took well over a minute to return! This is not good.
Not only that, the intro page for the plugin on the back-end also too well over a minute to load in this state.
If I set the “Yearly on August 20th and 21st” to published the shortcodes still took far too long to return anything sensible.
Because of this performance issue I cannot consider this plugin and I think it’s something you need to look at as a priority.
