    Hi!

    I’d like to ask if the plugin works with the latest WP version, and if it becomes a cause of extra server loads, especially since search engines may also follow the random link.

    Also, does it influence SEO effectiveness?

    I am using it with the latest WP version.

    The plugin must get the data from the database to determine the post where it should go, so there will be some server load. But that’s normal for plugins. The Plugin will only work, if someone accesses the URL with the parameter redirect_to. Otherwise it is doesn’t do anything.

    ?redirect_to=… redirects with status code 302. Search engines can therefore recognize that this is not just another URL with duplicate content. Additionally you can use the “canonical” tag to tell search engines about the default URL of the page: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/139066?hl=en
