    I started having problems uploading media files through the Media Library. I was getting “Unexpected response from the server.” and the files didn’t upload. One day, it was a PNG, which eventually did upload after I converted it to a JPG. But, then I had 2 MP3 files to upload and I kept getting the same error.

    In working with hosting support (because the error message indicated a server problem), I uploaded the MP3 files through their File Manager directly into the site. The files uploaded just fine, but they never shows up in the WP Media Library. After they confirmed and escalated the issue without resolution, they suggested checking recent plugins.

    When I rolled back FooGallery to 2.4.14, everything worked. So, there seems to be a problem with the new update. This is on a WordPress 6.4.3 site running Shefa2014 theme (based on the Twenty-Fourteen them).

    I have been running multiple rounds of tests on this but I have been unable to replicate it from my end. Can you create a staging site on your current hosting so we can test this from our end and replicate the issue? This will assist us to identify the root cause of what is causing this to occur on your site. Thanks in advance for doing so.

    What I can do is to create a clone of my site with my UpdraftPlus account. I can make it active for a week. Do you think that would be enough time for you to figure out what the problem could be?

    The clone would be as the site exists (probably as of Sunday, 4/7) with the older version of FooGallery active. If I give you access to the clone, you can do anything with it without affecting the main site.

    Would that work for you?

    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this matter.

    To your qeustion, if the clone site will be hosted on the same servers/hosting provider that currently host your main site, then it should work seamlessly. Please confirm if this is the case before I provide instructions on securely sending me the login link and credentials. Thank you.

    I haven’t had a problem since rolling back to v14. I’ve been unavailable this week, but I can set up a clone of the website as it exists currently.
