    Hi

    I have a notifcation message with the following message:

    May 21 2026 04:23:37: Error occurred while checking account status. SERVER_ERROR NO: 5 MSG: Internal API error.

    Any suggestions?

    One of the following actions may help resolve the issue:

    • Please update the plugin to the latest version 6.79.
    • Check if the CleanTalk IP addresses are available from your web server: https://cleantalk.org/help/cleantalk-servers-ip-addresses#anti-spam.
    • Check if CURL support and allow_url_fopen (in php.ini) options are available and enabled on your web server. You can ask your webmaster or hosting provider about this.
    • WordPress Admin Page → Settings → Anti-Spam by CleanTalk → Advanced settings → change the “Use WordPress HTTP API” option → Save Changes.
    • Clear your website cache (plugin cache).
      After each action, click “Synchronize with Cloud” in the plugin settings, wait until the rotating icon disappears, and refresh the page.
      And I want to note that this is a public forum, and it is better not to specify your site.
