Set multiple notification rules at once

    Hello,

    I am setting up a WP 5.2.2 using the BNFW plugin , version 1.7.3.

    I have a lot of categories and I want to set notification rules for each one.

    I can set them manually, one notification for one category : send a notification if a new post with this category is made (x20)
    or I can maybe edit a file or a database table so I can insert all the rules at once. So maybe I can edit or parse a file or do an INSERT in a table, and set all the notification rules at once?

    Is there a way to do it like this, set rules in a bulk way?

    Hi @spirosmousouris,
    Thanks for your message.

    You’ll need to use the Conditional Notifications add-on to do this. You may be able to duplicate them in bulk in the database, although I don’t really have a suggestion on how you could go about that, but it should be possible.

    Yes, I am using BNFW , but I am asking about bulk actions to set multiple notifications at once.

    Do you have more info about setting them in bulk in the database? Which table should I use and make INSERTs there?

    Hi @spirosmousouris,
    Sure. The Notifications are just a custom post type so you’ll need to be looking at the wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables.

    Hello again @voltronik ,

    I am looking at the database tables you suggested and I cannot find the notifications.

    Let me rephrase what I am looking for :

    Where do notifications are saved? I want to access the place where they are saved and insert all the notifications I want, once. I dont want to manually set one notification at a time.

    Hi @spirosmousouris,
    I do understand. The post type is called bnfw_notification and the data for this is stored in the wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables.

    You’ll need to have created at least one notification of the type you want to duplicate in order to see how it’s created and stored in the database.
