Set Paypal Tracking Fields?

    I’m already sending shipment tracking notifications to my customers by setting fields in my shipment tracking plugin. Now Paypal wants the tracking information set via the order page.

    What fields do I set on the order to get this to work automatically and notify paypal without manually entering the information? I feel this is intentionally left out of the documentation. Paying $5 a month for yet another tracking plugin doesn’t make sense when my php code or python scripts can do this for me automatically.

    I’m in the US, so really I just need USPS API, UPS, Fedex which I can determine based on the shipping code sent from my supplier.

    To begin, could you please share your system status report, so we can better understand your site environment and determine how best to support your use case? Here’s how to do it:

    1. Navigate to the WooCommerce → Status section in your site’s admin panel.
    2. Click the “Get system report” button and then click “Copy for support”.
    3. Paste the report into our PrivateBin.
    4. Once uploaded, please share the link here so we can review everything thoroughly.

    Additionally, it would be helpful if you could let us know what shipment tracking integration you are currently using — whether it’s a plugin or custom code. Once we know a bit more about your setup, we can guide you further to send that data to PayPal automatically. Alternatively, if can create some workaround without relying on an 3rd party.

    I’m using Advanced Shipment Tracking for WooCommerce as my shipping plugin.

    I literally just need the wordpress / woocommerce fields for Paypal’s Shipment Tracking Field, The Paypal Shipper/shipping provider, and whatever other trigger I need to set to make it send. You’ll see some backend paypal shipping api stuff the php code, but I’m not sure that’s working… or if your plugin will even pull from it, it doesn’t appear to do so.

    This has been previously discussed internally, and I will raise the topic again with our development team. We will revisit this for a future release or provide guidance on how to integrate this in a more reliable way. I’ll keep you updated once I hear back from our developers – most likely today.

    First of all, thank you for your patience.

    Yes, the product owner has confirmed, it’s just been added to the next sprint, so we can finally settle it once and for all. It should be updated soon. Probably after version 3.0.8.
