set up a forum

Hello,

I will make a site showcase a few pages with WordPress.

I want to make a page for a forum. The goal is for users of my product to make direct feedback on the forum. This forum will be set up also for users to share their experience online, give advice etc.

Can you tell me how a forum is built? Is it a page with an article with the word “leave your comment” below or is there another way to make a forum?

When you create a post or page, normally you will get a comment section below the post or page (by the page you have to enable the comment section).

If you want to have a real forum like this WordPress forum. You can find some usefull plugins. One of the best forum plugins is BBpress, Simple:Press or Vanilla Forums (premium).

But I think BBpress is the most useful plugin for you. But if you want to have a forum with BBpress, I will recommend you to create another WordPress installation on, for example .pro/forum, with the BBpress plugin. Otherwise you got a lot of data in your main website content.
