Setting subdirectory /blog

    I’d like to set a subdirectory to /blog and create a new website there. Unfortenately, WP doesn’t allow it although I deleted “blog” from the list of excluded names from the network settings. Any ideas?

    Attempting to subvert reserved word restrictions will likely lead to conflicts and strange behavior or errors. I cannot recommend doing so, even if I knew how.

    I suppose you could create an actual /blog subfolder via FTP and install a separate single WP installation there. It’d of course not use any network settings since it’s a separate stand-alone site. Actual server subfolders will always take precedence over “virtual” WP network subfolders.
