Setting the language using a custom_field?

    Is it possible to set the language of a post, and maybe even the translation, using a custom_field?

    Context: I write my content using a markdown editor and then synching the files to WordPress. I pass meta information such as category, tags, etc. using custom_fields. I saw that the language info appears right under those fields in the WP editor (see screenshot), is the language information stored using custom_fields, if so, how are they called?

    Is there anybody here that could give me an answer to this? Does Polylang use custom fields to set the language? Thanks!

    Hello,

    We don’t use custom fields. Languages are taxonomies (just as categories and tags).
