Setting up a Library

I am a total nuby at setting up a web site. I do have computer knowledge of sorts.
I am using Word Press with your File Away Plugin. I like the feel and functionality available when I can figure it all out.I am trying to set up a library of PDF documents in a page structure under the main page “Library” Then the page “Archive” with other pages under it.
Could you assist with the basics to set up a base directory, how to upload docs to the various pages.
