Can you try adding wp-content/plugins/pdf-embedder/ to the comma-separated JS optimization exclusion list?
hope this helps,
frank
Thank you very much sir for your rapid answer.
I did what you suggest in your post and now I am able to see the pdf in the page.
Thank you again!

patfom assuming you’re also using Autoptimize; go to Settings -> Autoptimize and scroll to the JavaScript optimization settings, you should see the “Exclude scripts from Autoptimize” there.
@optimizingmatters
Thanks you very much.
It’s good
Hi,
I got the above problem as well and when I entered the exclude script I now get the error
‘NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource’
Help please
so;
1. what resource could not be fetched?
2. what happens when you disable JS optimization (or even AO as a whole)?
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Id guess most of the problem may lay with the fact I am using Elementor on the website and I have used the embed in shortcode?? When I disable ALL javascript optimizer plugins the PDF files are still broken. May find a different method I guess.
Thanks
When I disable ALL javascript optimizer plugins the PDF files are still broken
that indeed implies the problem is not with Autoptimize 🙂
Hi @optimizingmatters,
I just wanted to comment that I had the same issue (“Setting up fake worker failed: “Cannot load script at…”), and your solution worked like a charm (using Autoptimize; go to Settings -> Autoptimize and scroll to the JavaScript optimization settings, you should see the “Exclude scripts from Autoptimize” and add wp-content/plugins/pdf-embedder/ to the comma-separated JS optimization exclusion list).
Thank you very much for the great support!
HI… same problem.. but opera, firefox and i think all other browser dont work. The only browser wher it works is Chrome
Hi,
I use the PRO version. If you do too, you need to add “wp-content/plugins/PDFEmbedder-premium/” instead of “wp-content/plugins/pdf-embedder/”.
@optimizingmatters im having the same issue. The fixed works but only on chrome; any ideas?
you’ll have to ask the pdf-embedder developers/ support staff, they know best samglover11 🙂
