Just to clarify, are you referring to the general WooCommerce refund process, rather than something specific to PayPal Payments? If so, you might find this article helpful:

That’s because there is no PayPal separate tutorial for this, as PayPal Payments integrates directly with WooCommerce’s default/native refund functionality. When a PayPal payment is made through our plugin, you should see two refund options on the order page:
– Refund via PayPal
– Refund manually
To issue a refund, simply go to WooCommerce > Orders, open the relevant order, and click the Refund button. If the order was paid using PayPal Payments and everything is connected correctly, the Refund via PayPal button will appear, allowing you to process it directly from your site.
In case of any questions let us know, and additionally please follow these steps to share your system status report with us:
- Navigate to the
WooCommerce / Status section in your site’s admin panel.
- Click on the
Get system report button and then click Copy for support.
- Paste the report into our PrivateBin.
- After uploading, please share the link here so we can review the details thoroughly.
