• I am a retired IT rep for a local hospital, not a software developer. I am the webmaster for a City page at https://cityofchristopher.org/ hosted by GoDaddy. The City would like for me to set up a page where people can type a story about their past in our city. I talked with a GoDaddy rep and he suggested user submitted posts. I am planning to use the URL of https://cityofchristopher.org/stories for the site. We would like for an administrator to read the story that someone submitted and determine if it is suitable to be posted on the site. It looks like user submitted posts will work great for our application but I have been unable to figure out how to install it on our site. I have read the install instructions but I am not sure my knowledge level is high enough to figure it out. Can you help me get started? Thank you. Jim Taylor

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Glad to help.

Actually installing USP is the same as installing any other WP plugin. Here is a guide that explains better than I would be able to do here:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/documentation/article/manage-plugins/

Once you’re familiar with how to install a plugin, go ahead and install User Submitted Posts. That’s pretty much it. Then to use the plugin, there are a couple of first things that users typically like to do:

    • Display the post-submission form by adding the shortcode [user-submitted-posts] to any WP Post or Page
    • And/or visit the plugin settings page to customize options, etc.

I hope this helps, it’s basically an overview of the plugin documentation. Let me know if I can provide any further information.
