The default settings are fine. Additionally, I always recommend to enable one setting that is not enabled by default: the .htaccess 301 redirect. This is the fastest redirect method.
That option is the 3rd one here, right?: https://screenshots.firefox.com/ZENHxWqnNfLprB1X/www.tecnologiaegadgets.com
If I activate that option should I disable “Enable WordPress 301 redirection to SSL” or can both be enabled at the same time?
If both are enbaled, what are the advantages of that?
Yes, that’s the one. If that’s activated, the request won’t actually reach the wp redirect, so that one won’t activate. You can deactivate the wp redirect, although there’s no actual disadvantage in having it active. It’s just not needed anymore.
So, it is better to activate “Enable 301 .htaccess redirect” and still have “Enable WordPress 301 redirection to SSL” activated, since it will not have any disadvantage, right?
The “Enable 301 .htaccess redirect” will edit the .htaccess file, right?
Thanks for the help!!!
Your plugin is great!
