I have two custom post types (CPTs) with similar names, for example ‘my-cpt-long-name-first’ and ‘my-cpt-long-name-second’.
In the Yoast SEO settings under Content Type, the CPT name is shortened in the URL (e.g. https://mysite/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wpseo_page_settings#/post-type/my-cpt-long-na), so I can only access the first CPT and not the second one because both names are truncated in the same way.
How can I access and manage the settings for both CPTs?

Thanks for reaching out.

There are several reasons why the Yoast SEO settings under Content Types or Categories & Tags may not work as expected. A plugin may modify the REST URL APIs for all non-core (WordPress default) taxonomies and change them to “false“. Other plugins might impact permalinks or canonicals. Also, having two custom taxonomies with the same base will cause conflicts.

Due to the nature of the issue, we’ll need to take a look at your setup. However, we are unable to do it here as this is a public forum. You could consider purchasing a Yoast SEO Premium subscription since it comes with email support. Then we can investigate the issue further directly on your setup privately.
