settings – email crashed site

    Interesting thing happened. I was setting up a new site and went to settings writing and highlighted the email address and hit delete. My site went down. Is that possible? A few minutes before I selected to add the ssl certificate to the site via siteground. We are thinking that is why it is down but I mean it happened at the exact second I hit delete! My htaccess file looks kinda different to me but then again I don’t look at it much and it may be right so I hate to use the codes to change it. I am going to wait a few hours and see if the site comes back up but I was wondering if anyone ever seen this happen from deleting the email settings before? And is there a way to put them back via file manager just to see if that isn’t the issue.

    actually, I got brave and looked at it again. The begin word press and the end word press had nothing in between. There was a lot of addoutput filter and add type and expries after the endwordpress. So I did copy the codex in between. Now I can get in. So was it the htaccess that got messed up because of my ssl?
