Hello, I installed the plugin but its settings page is not loading and giving “Request Timeout” page. I updated wordpress, theme and all plugins and tested for plugin conflict without success.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @mashour06 ,

Thank you for your message! I’m sorry to hear about this issue 🙁

This is really strange and definitely shouldn’t happen. Could you please check and make sure that you’re using the latest version of the plugin? Does the browser console show any errors when this happens?

I’m asking because I’m unable to reproduce this on my end at all, the Settings page seems to be loading perfectly fine.

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Hello, Adrian,

The browser (firefox) tab displays “500 internal server error”.

    The page displays:

“Request Timeout – This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this web site to increase ‘Connection Timeout’.”

    The console displays this error:

    “GET /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=resmushit_options [HTTP/2 500 121332ms]”

And, in the console also, there is a line saying:

“This page is in Quirks Mode. Page layout may be impacted. For Standards Mode use <!DOCTYPE html>”.”

I also enabled wordpress debugging and checked the error log, but there is no entry for a 500 server error.

    Best regards.

    Hi again, @mashour06 ,

This seems to be a hosting issue on your side since you receive the “Request Timeout” error within the browser. This is also why no errors are logged in the error log.

Could you please reach out to your hosting provider, tell them about this and also ask them to set a higher Connection Timeout limit if possible? This should fix the issue!
