    Hello,

A few minor issues which may or may not have appeared with 10.8.1:

    1. Product images on the cart page are poor resolution compared to the same images on the shop page (see images https://prnt.sc/XOqnEi_rHcSh and https://prnt.sc/sON7LQGobBo6).
    2. The Minicart product table layout now means (see image https://prnt.sc/zA_VvEuvBs79)
      • <span style=”background-color: initial; font-size: inherit;”>images are very small.</span>
      • short descriptions now occupy many lines.
    3. Any regular emails e.g. customer mails (not block or plain), that contain additional information from the block checkout, need a gap between the addresses and the heading “Additional information”. See image https://prnt.sc/rO7ZZK2hc9P0.

    Thanks,

    James

    Hi there!

Thank you for sharing these additional details and screenshots.

I understand your concerns regarding the cart image quality, minicart layout changes, and the spacing issue in customer emails after updating to WooCommerce 10.8.1.

From the issues you described, the layout and styling changes are typically controlled by the theme or page builder/plugin being used on the site, rather than WooCommerce core itself.

I also tried to replicate these issues on my own test site, but I was not able to reproduce them. Everything appears to be working normally on my end.

To determine whether the issue is being caused by a theme or plugin conflict, I would recommend performing a conflict test. Please create a staging site first, then:

    • Deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce
    • Switch to a default theme such as Twenty Twenty-Five
    • Test the cart page, minicart, and emails again

You can use the following plugin to create a staging site safely:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-staging/

For more details on how to perform a conflict test, please refer to this guide:

Please let us know what you find after testing.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your response.

1 and 2 were not due to plugins or theme but CSS. I’ll work to which bit is causing it.

    3. Happens with no plugins (except WooCommerce) and the twenty-twenty five theme (and none of my CSS).

    Hi there!

    Thank you for the update.

I have tried to replicate the issue on my end, but everything appears to be working correctly. The spacing is displayed properly in the emails I tested.

To assist you further with the third issue, could you please share a System Status Report? You can find it under WooCommerce → Status.

Please copy the report to either https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share the generated link in your reply. Once we have that information, we’ll be able to investigate further.

Additionally, could you please navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Features and make sure the following option is enabled?

Enable modern email design for transactional emails

Please let us know if enabling this option helps resolve the issue.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the the response. Having looked at the emails in different mail clients, I conclude this is an Outlook issue. I did try your suggestion of Enable modern email design for transactional emails. Sadly the product thumbnail images that are in webp format (that I use in WordPress for speed), cannot be displayed by the desktop version of Outlook, so I am going to have to stick to the old email templates.

    Thanks,

    James

    Hi,

Thank you for testing this further and for sharing your findings. I’m glad you were able to identify the source of the issue.

Since your product thumbnails are using WebP images and the legacy email templates are displaying them more reliably for your customers, continuing to use the older templates sounds like a reasonable workaround for now.

We appreciate you taking the time to investigate this and report back with your results. If you have any other WooCommerce-related questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Before you go, If you found WooCommerce helpful in setting up your store, we would really appreciate it if you could leave a five-star review here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews/#new-post. Your feedback helps us improve and lets other users know how WooCommerce can support their business.
