Hello Nathan,
specifying a cache expiration for W3 total will resolve this but you have to wait a while until shares are counted.
Same applies when you disable W3 total.
I have “Set expires header” enabled.
CSS & Javascript is set to 31536000
HTML & XML is set to 3600
Media & Other Files is set to 31536000
Is there another setting I am missing? Thanks for your help on this!
I see that you are using a commercial theme which integrates MashShare. Please ask the theme dev guys for further support action. They embedded MashShare in a very customized version which makes it hard for me to debug this. I know from other support requests about this theme that the guys were able to resolve it with a changes priority filter.
When W3 cache is deactivated and MashSharee cache expiration is set to a low time like 5min you should see growing shares after this time. If thats not the case its a good indication that the theme is responsible for the share stuck.
Ah, ok – that makes sense. Thanks!
Just in case others face this.
All I had do do was change the “Execution Order” in the MashShare settings to 98 and it started updating the share counts automatically (got that from the Bimber forum).
Thanks!
Thank you very much. This information is valuable.
