  • Hi there @jarrodwhitley0518,

Thanks for reaching out, I’d be happy to help here!

Can you please provide me a little bit more of information about your issue as for example some specific URLs which are being affected by this and if you don’t mind some screenshots and screen recordings displaying what the issue looks like on your side for me to dig deeper into your case and provide you with a solid solution?

    Thank you,
    Andres

    Hi @andressharethis)

First I like to thank you for the good work on this plugin. It’s easy to use and very customizable but recently I ran into an issue.

This post of mine had 19 shares at some point and all of a sudden I did see anything again.

No sharecount displayed. What could possibly be the problem?

Thank you for your prompt support.

    Hi there @graicifyd,

    Thanks for your reply!

The sharing count for our buttons is tied to the URL of the page. This means that if the URL is changed, then the counts will reset. Changes to the URL can include:

Changing the URL to something new.
Switching from one sub-domain to another.
Changing SSL (eg, updating from http to https).
Including a re-direct on the URL.
Implementing the data-url parameter on the button code with a different URL than the page URL.

At this time, there is no way to transfer/export the stats between different URLs.

With that in mind, can you please let me know if any of those does suit your case?

As if it does then, that is the main reason why this did happen on your end and, in case they don’t then, can you please do let me know if all of your site’s pages were affected or if only some of them were?

    Best,
    Andres
