Hi @stijn
Try using the HTML code version directly instead:
<div class='shareaholic-canvas' data-app='total_share_count' data-link='http://www.stijnspreekt.nl/aanklachten-zwarte-piet-door-de-tijd-heen-eerste-in-1930/'></div>
Yes that did it. I see the amount of shares underneath it and in black. I just want my sharecounts in a tiny red notification, in the right hand top. How can i change this?

Can you provide a link to a page where you have inserted the code?
Could you please temporarily disable your plugin W3-Total-Cache? This plugin is preventing us from seeing the changes you are making.
Thanks we can see it now!
It would get difficult to try and get it positioned next to the other share buttons and look the way you are hoping. It would be necessary for you to override CSS rules by following instructions like these:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
If you don’t like the way this looks, I think it might be better to use the other option outlined earlier in this forum thread: Where you insert a custom share button location onto the page (instead of just inserting a total share counter). This way, custom share button location will look the way that the existing share buttons do, but they will use the HTTP share counts.
Best,
Greg
Would love to have an update on the status of this “tool” that combines http and https counts. I just switched my site to https and one of my pages that 25k shares now shows only 3. : (
Ciao,

Is there an update on this issue?
@wildedible do you mean an update on a new product feature for combining HTTP and HTTPS share counts? Not yet!
We have some great news! We have released a brand new Share Count Recovery feature that recovers any ‘missing’ shares that may have been lost in a http to https or domain name change.
You can now move to HTTPS AND keep your share counts.
Once active, Shareaholic will begin to fetch share counts for both URL’s, add them together and display the combined total. Voilà – all your hard work and social proof will, again, be fully accounted for!
