Is it possible to bulk update the shipping class per variations using this plugin?
Yes, you can use Manual Record Matching for that: http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/manual-record-matching/. You’ll need to match them by their Post IDs or a unique Custom Field value (matching by Title or Content doesn’t work with variations).
On step 3 of the import, you’ll import the shipping class into the Shipping -> Set product shipping class with XPath field: https://d.pr/i/YQp5MP, and on step 4 you’ll choose to only update the “product_shipping_class” taxonomy and the “_shipping_class_id” custom field: https://d.pr/i/zIFU2C.
Also, you can leave the product type as “Simple” since you’re not updating the product type in the import settings (step 4).
