    Hi

I have following errors when trying to list a new product using a profile that works on downloaded listings from ebay using import for ebay plugin.

Error: Postage policy is required. (21919152)
    Postage policy is required.

Why am I seeing this message?
eBay has silently changed their requirements regarding business policies and now expects either all three business policies to be used, or none of them.
Please make sure that you select a shipping policy, a payment policy and a return policy in your listing profile – or disable all three policies.
Error: Returns policy is required. (21919154)
    Returns policy is required.

I can revise listings no problem that have been downloaded from ebay with a few warnings about return and shipping policies, but as I have said any new items created and using the same profile fail.

I have found out the reason and its because I am not using shipping or returns policy but was using a payment policy. I set the payment policy to “no policy” and it now works.

The issue I have here is there is no free-form field for me to put my PayPal email addresses in to. I use two different PayPal accounts on ebay namely a normal one and a micro-payments account for low value items. We save money on anything under £9.50 using the micro-payments account.

I really think this plugin needs a free-form Pay Pal field so we can stipulate what PayPal account we use on each profile – or am i missing something or is this functionality somewhere else?

    Cheers for the great plugin

    Hello albertramsbottom.

I am happy to assist you today.

This does make sense. If listings are already on eBay, eBay won’t end your listings or stop you from revising due to policies, but they will in regards to new listings.

I have found out the reason and its because I am not using shipping or returns policy but was using a payment policy. I set the payment policy to “no policy” and it now works.

Yes, this also makes sense as the message explains:

You can set your paypal account by browsing to the “accounts” page in WP-Lister’s settings, click “edit” when you mouse overt the account and enter the paypal email in the “Paypal account” field. This will be your main paypal email. To over ride that paypal email (if you wish to use another email) you will need to enable a payments policy that has a different paypal email enabled which would then require you to use a shipping and returns policy as you have already learned.

We try to keep our listing profiles and WP-Lister settings in general as lean as possible and no one has ever asked for a standalone paypal email field. I am sure you understand that if we were to add every option and setting for every user, the plugin would be nearly impossible to go through.

Thanks for the kind words 🙂

    Kind regards,
    John

Sorry for the delay, thanks for that and yes I know using a micropayments account is rather unusual

    Cheers for the help
