• If you install on a pre-existing website with a few email users to sync to mailchimp, you’ll end up with a frozen or crashed website because of how they implemented the synchronization process.

This is actually the same issue I experienced with their Magento plugin over a year ago.

  • Hey @nitecrwlr,

Sorry to hear you were unable to use the plugin on this site. If you are interested in troubleshooting things further, I would recommend ensuring that the site meets the minimum requirements to run the plugin (mainly a requirement of PHP and MySQL 5.6 or greater).

Additionally, it may be worth seeking to find any theme or plugin conflicts. Deactivating other plugins or switching to a different theme before reinstalling the ‘MailChimp for WooCommerce’ plugin might reveal another plugin that our plugin conflicts with.

Again I’m sorry to hear your experience with the plugin wasn’t ideal, though definitely let us know if there’s any questions we can help answer moving forward.

    Thanks,
    Malachite

Thanks. PHP & MySQL are up to date and there are no plugin conflicts.
If you have no traffic and you wait long enough, the site starts working again. It’s just an issue with the initial syncing… at least as far as I’ve experienced.
