I am having serious problems with my woocommerce shop and I need help.

In my shop I have variable products. When a customer selects an option and tries to add it to their cart, they get the following alert: “Please select some product options before adding this product to your cart.”

I don’t know why this has started happening or how to fix this. But no one can place an order on my website right now.

I have tried changing my theme and that didn’t fix it. And I have also tried updating all of my plugins.

I didn’t change or do anything that caused this. But, I really need it fixed.

    Please help!!

    Hi @jmpl123 ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

If I understand correctly, customers are selecting options for the Variable Product and even after making a selection they’re still not able to add to the cart and are seeing this message, is that correct?

Have you been able to replicate this issue being both logged in and logged out on your site?

Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in the reply.

This will give us a better understanding of your sites current environment, as well as allow us to check this behavior on our end.

    Cheers!

    Hi Roxy,

Yes, that’s correct. The only time I was able to place an order was when was signed in. But if I tried on incognito mode or in another browser, it didn’t work. Even if the variable options were selected, I could not add the item to the cart.

Is there a way to send you the report privately?

    Hi @jmpl123 ,

    Thanks for clarifying!

It’s possible that this could be the cause of caching. As a first step, I’d suggest purging your caching.

If that doesn’t help, please contact your host and ask them to make sure that your cart and checkout pages are excluded from being cached.

If the issue persists, we would need to take a look at your sites System status report to see if we can identify any possible causes being triggered by your sites current environment.

It is safe to share on the forums, however, if there is any information you would prefer not sharing publicly, you can redact this before sharing.

Also, if you prefer, you can upload the system status report by using Pastebin. This way you can provide us with the link, keep the file visible for a few days while we check into the issue and then delete it.

    Cheers!
