That’s odd it would suddenly do that if it wasn’t before. Did you guys apply an update recently?
We have updated the wordpress software and other plugins as needed. We usually update all plugins and wordpress every week or so.
So yes, things have been updated recently.
Should we downgrade the plugin?
It would be worth a try. You can find all versions here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/offers-for-woocommerce/developers/
We did make quite a few changes in 1.4.0, so you may want to try reverting back to 1.3.1 and see if your issue goes away. If so, please let me know and we’ll look to see what we changed that would be causing that.
We have couple of Offers in the back end. If we remove the plugin and install a lower version, do we get to keep the entries listed in the back end?
Yes, existing offers will remain.
Same bug here, but I’d like to add more informations for you:
1. switching back to 1.3.1 solves the problem
2. I’m using the plugin “User Role Editor” to create a custom role and the weird thing is that even enabling ALL (ALL means the whole plugin, WordPress and Woocommerce, etc.) the possible permissions to this role (that SHOULD be the same as giving “admin” permissions to that role) the offer options are not showing up! Only custom “admin” role works!
By the way, plugin permissions that “user role editor” plugin sees for offers are the following (and they’re all enabled):
– delete_others_woocommerce_offers
– delete_private_woocommerce_offers
– delete_published_woocommerce_offers
– delete_woocommerce_offers
– edit_others_woocommerce_offers
– edit_private_woocommerce_offers
– edit_published_woocommerce_offers
– edit_woocommerce_offers
– publish_woocommerce_offers
– read_private_woocommerce_offers
A question:
your guide documentation ( https://www.angelleye.com/offers-for-woocommerce-user-guide/ ) refers in the “Plugin Settings – General Settings” section to an option called “Enable offers for only specific user roles” that isn’t showing up in my admin… could this be related to the bug?
Regards
Oppps, a mistake!
I wrote “Only custom “admin” role works!” and I was meant to write “Only default WP “admin” role works!”
@canetwp, thanks for the details! We’ll look to get this address in our 1.4.4 update that we’re working on now. Thanks!
unfortunately this bug hasn’t been solved in 1.4.5 too!
we still need to stuck on “offers 1.3.1” so now we’re afraid to loose compatibility with Woo 3.x!
Any idea when this will be fixed?
Thank you very much
I’m sorry, this issue keeps getting pushed because we don’t have many complaints about it. We had to get 3.0 compatibility in general released and couldn’t have that held up for this.
This is now on our 1.4.6 list, and since the big 3.0 update is now done I don’t see any reason this would get pushed again. We’ll be working on 1.4.6 soon and will have it released ASAP.
I understand, and I really appreciate your kindness in replying me to explain! Good work and have a nice day.
This issue has been resolved in the release branch on GitHub and will be included in the 1.4.7 update that we’re working to get released soon. If you would like to grab it early you can download the release branch here: https://github.com/angelleye/offers-for-woocommerce/archive/release.zip
Then you’ll need to extract the files and upload them to your server overwriting the existing plugin files.
