SHopping cart going to https and a weird refresh message
-
This is a problem on a site for which I installed Wp-ecommerce almost 4 years ago, it was working fine, and then my client wasn’t updating the site for a while, but now she wants to start selling again, and is having an odd issue.
WordPress is on 4.0, WP e-commerce is Version 3.8.14.3
Everything works fine until you try to go to the shopping cart:
http://nakatsudesign.com/shopping-cart/
A: it redirects to https which is not necessary as she is only accepting Paypal. This site does not have nor has it ever had SSL. I don’t have it set anywhere to use https
B. When you get redirected to https://nakatsudesign.com/shopping-cart/ and ignore the warnings about security because there is no SSL on this site) all you see is a message:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0;URL=http://nakatsudesign.jennymedford.com/shopping-cart/"><h1><a href=http://nakatsudesign.jennymedford.com/shopping-cart/>VIEW TEMPORARY SITE</a></h1>nakatsudesign.jennymedford.com is just the subdomain Bluehost automatically sets up for domains pointing to a subdirectory of a hosting account. It is not used for anything and has never been used for anything.
I deleted all of the WP-ecommerce theme files, deleted the plugin, and re-installed it all from scratch.
I disabled all plugins except WP-ecommerce and changed to the Twenty Fourteen theme.
It didn’t help.
There are no refresh directives in the htaccess file or any other file. I even searched the database. I ran a malware scan. I can’t figure out what in the heck.
I tried disabling Wp-ecommerce and then I can get to the Shopping Cart page no problem – but of course that does me no good since the whole store is then deactivated. 😉
Anyone have any idea at all what is going on here?
