Please specify your issue. In the thread you refer to there are various things mentioned, and i do not get your issue.

When I select the Short Code Generator the dialog box appears but is unusable.
Whatever I click on has no response.
Also I’m unable to close the dialog box – no buttons work.
The only way out is to reload the page.
The same thing occurs with the ‘insert photo’ option.

Maybe you have a plugin active that tamperes on the jQuery form i use for the dialog.
Plugins should only modify the behaviour of their own use of commonly used features.
This happens more often, i know sites where the wppa logfile is unreadable when opened on the settings page; the reason why i made it possible to add it on the wppa submenu.
When you try deactivating other plugins, you may find it. I can understand that you do not want that to do on a live site, so, if you give me a list of your active plugins, i will try it out on my dev site, and, when i find it, will report it to the malicious plugin autor.
That’s all i can do to this.
Does your wppa logfile show up readable (Advanved settings -> Misc II -> Item 8) ?
log file is readable, but after “show” screen becomes light black/grey and nothing is possible. Only reload page is possible.
I make “logfile on menu” an open it from there.
No entries shown regarding open ShortCodeGenerator 🙁
Will try now disable plugins – keep you informed.

Shame on me, it was an old one, which I’m not using anymore since I use your gallery.
It is/was:
Enhanced Media Library (https://de.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/enhanced-media-library/)
After disable this one (which could be done for me forever) everything works fine. Also show log-file from advance settings.
