The short code shows up on the page and not the actual checkout page. i have reviewed the settings and the checkout page is teh check page .. the same issue applies for the cart page.. just the shortcode shows..
but the shortcode for the shop page works.. so i am really confused on what the issue can be

Share a copy of your site’s System Status to understand your site setup. You can find it via WooCommerce → Status → Get system report → Copy for support.. Once you’ve done that, you can paste the text in https://gist.github.com. After that, you can paste the Gist link here in your reply.

I have reviewed the screenshots you shared and everything looks fine.
To troubleshoot this, could you create a new page called Test Page? Then add a shortcode there. You may try different WooCommerce shortcodes. Make sure you type the shortcode to avoid copying any special characters.
