Short code not working for Connections plugin

    Hello,

    I am trying to edit the Default address label of “Work”, to read “Office Location”.

    Here is the current shortcode on the page in question:

    [connections order_by=’last_name’ template=”slim” show_alphaindex=”false” str_work_addr=’Office Location’]

    But the page still shows “Work” for the address label.

    The drop-down menu for the Address in the connections GUI is “Work”.

    Any idea what I am doing wrong here?

    First I have to mention support for commercial plugins, like the Slim template for Connections, is not permitted in the ww.wp.xz.cn forums. You should post the questions here:

    The shortcode looks fine, though you do not need the order_by option because it sorts by last name by default. You might not even need the template option if the template is activated on the Connections : Templates admin page.

    Did you by chance copy/paste the shortcode or parts of the shortcode from a webpage? If you did, then it is possible HTML was pasted which will break shortcodes. You can fix that by editing the page with the shortcode and switching the post editor to the Text tab. If there is any HTML in or around the shortcode, remove it.

    Here’s a cleaned up shortcode:

    [connections template='slim' show_alphaindex='false' str_work_addr='Office Location']

    Hello Shazahm,

    Thank you for your help!

    I tried to reset the password for my account on the connections site, but when opening the password reset link, i get redirected to

    with a “web page not available” error.

    I have yet to open a ticket with connections about that issue.

    the reason for the template declaration is my default template is the Tile Plus template, not slim.

    The shortcode doesnt have any HTML, and i’ve typed it out manually, but still the work address string does not get changed.

    I will submit this on the connections forum when i am able to.

    The redirect should be fixed now … seem one of my anti spam rules were a little too aggressive.

    When you open a support issue on my site, let me know the version of Tile Plus you have installed.
