    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

There’s no direct shortcut key for the “Insert Link” yet, but for the “Advanced Editor”, which also as an “Insert Link” button: Just hold down the “Shift” key while clicking into a cell.

However, you might instead be interested in the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/automatic-url-conversion/ which can convert URLs to clickable links automatically.

    Regards,
    Tobias

Please tell me if I have to add the provided short code in post page what I am doing is as under

Saved table short code if that is 35

    [table id=35 /]

    pasted short code in post

The table in consisting on only one column and about 100 rows.

But this is not working as I have already installed the extension as required.

    Hi,

Can you please post a link to the page with the table 35 where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!
The link above is for table 31, but that does not have any links.
Also, does table 35 contain URLs? And did you really install AND activate the Extension?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi,

    thanks for the new link!

Ok, these links have a link text. The Extension can only show the URL there, so it will not be helpful here. You will have to manually create all the links as HTML code.

    Tobias

    Dear Sir,

Thanks for your reply. I will be thankful if you please tell me where to use the shift key in advance mode?

    Hi,

the Shift key is used to access the “Advanced Editor”. On the regular “Edit” screen, hold Shift and click into a cell. You should then see a popup with a larger text field for that cell. There use the “Link” button to insert a link.

This should be a bit faster than scrolling down to the regular “Insert Link” button.

Alternatively, you could of course just copy/paste the basic HTML code
    <a href=""></a>
into each cell and fill it with the correct URL and link text.

    Regards,
    Tobias
