I seem to have an issue with the shortcode [sensei_courses …] where parameter Number seem to not work. Whatever I write (tested with 5, 6, 7, 20, 30, 40, 50) I still see 10 courses even though I know there are 13 in the tested category.

I also only get Category ID to work as filter for Categories however on senseilms.com in documentation it says I should be able to write category description there.

Is there a specific order i need to write the parameters for it to work properly?

    The shortcode look like this:[sensei_courses category=”974″ number=”50″ orderby=”name” order=”asc”]

    Thanks!

  • Hi Per,

I’m not able to reproduce any of the problems you reported. I was able to show 50 courses, and was able to use the category ID, category slug and category name in the shortcode.

The first thing to check is that you’re using “straight” quotes around the parameters, as opposed to “curly” quotes.

If that’s fine, then the most likely culprit is a conflict with your theme or another plugin. Are you able to temporarily switch to another theme to see if that helps? I tested on Storefront.

If that doesn’t work, you could also try disabling other plugins to see if one of them is conflicting with Sensei LMS.

Thanks yet again @donnapep! I should have figured this out, that I should of course have checked how the page looked. I edit this particular page with Elementor and I had copy/pasted the shortcode from Gutenberg so in HTML mode it looked all spammed with span, classes and those kinds of things.

    It works perfectly fine now!

    Thanks again!
