    Thank you for reaching out.
    Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails does not provide a shortcode feature.
    Maybe there is an extra plugin which allows you to add a widget by shortcode but I couldn’t finde one.

    An option could be the plugin Ultimate Post List. It allows you to create a post list, also with thumbnails, which you can add with a shortcode.
