Shortcode Arguments

What are the argument options for the shortcodes? I know the defaults, but I’m wondering what the other options for each of them are (the ones that aren’t true/false).
In particular, I want to use the shortcode, but I can’t seem to duplicate some of the options in the widget, like the relative dates and updated posts (i.e. I want to display recently updated published posts).
