    Hi. I’m having trouble changing the default confirmation message to [contact auto_reply_message=”Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We will be in touch shortly.”].

    Where do I put this code in the page I created to get it to work, and am I using the correct code?

    Hi,

    There are 2 messages you can change using an attribute:
    1) message after submitting the form (the “thank you” message)
    2) message in confirmation mail to sender

    Guess you want to change the first one, so full shortcode should be:

    
[contact message_success="your message here"]
