Shortcode for different placement

    Hello,

    Is there a way to place the footnotes somewhere within the single.php template other than at the bottom of the post content, via a shortcode, for instance?

    Hi,

    No, there isn’t right now.

    The plugin works by automatically scanning through the post content, when displayed, looking for footnotes and then adding them into the content. What you’re suggesting would be to stop this from automatically happening but rely on a function call that you’d need to add to your theme – this would do the same thing but allow you, depending on where you call the function, to define where the footnotes go.

    I’ll add this to a list of possible enhancement for the future.
