Shortcode for frontend download?

Is there a way to set up export templates and have them triggered by an end user from the frontend with a shortcode?

This would currently require a custom solution:

• Set up the “processing” cron job for your export on your server (see documentation).
• Create your own custom shortcode that creates a button that fetches the “trigger” URL for the export when clicked.
